Elgorriaga, the first chocolate company in Spain, was founded in 1770 in Irún (Guipúzcoa) by the Elgorriaga family. From the very beginning, the company embraced the tradition and craftsmanship of cacao, becoming a favorite of King Alfonso XIII and the Spanish Royal House.
Pioneering in the chocolate industry, Elgorriaga has continuously innovated, launching Spain's first white chocolate bar, Milkcream, in 1968, and introducing the beloved La Campana chocolate tablet in 1970. In 1979, the company expanded with a new factory in Ávila, where their famous chocolate cream-filled cookies were born. Today, Elgorriaga is present in over 40 countries and remains committed to quality, tradition, and innovation, creating products that are cherished in Spanish homes and beyond.
